IT DIRECTOR

FMA is seeking an experienced, hands-on IT professional to evaluate, develop & implement hardware & software technology solutions in support of our 75-employee organization. This position is full-time & hybrid (in-person 2 days per week at our Elgin, IL office).

Duties include:

• Manage the development, implementation, installation & operation of premise & cloud-based software systems for the organization.
• Lead as well as directly perform system integrations & data migrations.
• Oversee & maintain infrastructure including virtual environment, servers, networks, laptops, Macs, printers, VOIP, A/V & back-up systems.
• Monitor emerging, state-of-the-art tools, software & technology trends.
• Manage evaluation process for organizational technologies.
• Work with department decision-makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement & support cost effective technology solutions.
• Design, develop & maintain business intelligence solutions.
• Encourage adoption of technology through staff outreach & education.
• Develop, implement & monitor technology policies & controls to ensure data accuracy, security & legal/regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate & contract with consultants, technical personnel & vendors for services & products.
• Manage development & execution of disaster recovery & business continuity plan.
• Supervise 3 full-time employees.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of directly related work experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with SQL, Windows OS, Microsoft 365, server virtualization.
• Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network & systems administration, databases & data storage systems & unified communication systems.
• Expertise in analysis, implementation & evaluation of software systems & their specifications.
• Significant experience in all phases of development lifecycle.
• Solid working knowledge of current security protocols & threats.
• Hands-on experience with at least 2 coding languages & data analytics tools/report writing languages.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management.
• Detail oriented with strong project management skills.

Pay: $160,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
