What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Software Administrator position at FMF&E?
FMF&E is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable IT Software Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is a critical member of the FMF&E team, responsible for providing technical assistance and support for software applications, ensuring their smooth operation and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a strong customer-centric approach, and an understanding of software and application support.
Position: Full-Time Onsite (with overtime and on-call Saturdays during peak busy season)
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software applications used by FMF&E team members.
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT local network and cloud software projects.
- Conduct regular software audits to ensure data integrity and security.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems and applications.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on the effective use of IT systems and software.
- Learn and develop an understanding of Accounting, Auditing and Tax Departments’ use of software systems.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to provide recommendations for system improvements.
- Communicate effectively with FMF&E team members and our Managed Networking Outsource Provider.
- Maintain a sense of urgency when completing tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 2-3 years of proven work experience in a similar role with a focus on software and applications
- Strong knowledge of software applications, their installation, configuration and troubleshooting
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems
- Proficiency with understanding cloud and hybrid cloud systems
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft SharePoint and MS 365 administration
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Previous experience working in a professional services environment is strongly desired, experience with a CPA firm is preferred but not required.
