Summary: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing our company's financial obligations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and verify invoices and check requests.
- Sort, code, and match invoices
- Set invoices up for payment and enter them into the system.
- Track expenses and process expense reports
- Prepare and perform check runs.
- Post transactions to ledgers, journals, and other records
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Maintain vendor files correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
- Produce monthly reports and assist with month-end closing.
- Provide supporting documentation for audits.
- Maintain accurate historical records.
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
Requirements
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to comply with all company, local, state, and federal financial regulations and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.
- A US Person is required.
Educational Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent; and/or
- Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred; and/or
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable
