About the Role
Supervisors contribute to the success of Fashion Nova by ensuring that our FN customers receive a complete and accurate order, delivered on time, and in excellent condition. They do this by assisting supervisors and managers by leading the day to day distribution center process in their respective departments. The Team Lead role is a working leadership role that requires a hands-on approach.
Position Summary
Distribution Center Supervisors contribute to the success of FN Logistics by ensuring that our Fashion Nova customers receive a complete and accurate order, delivered on time, and in excellent condition. They do this by assisting managers and leading the day-to-day distribution center process in their respective departments.
Essential Functions
Supervisors may work in one department or multiple departments or functions depending on business needs. Work shifts can include early starts, late finishes, and weekends. During busy periods, overtime is required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist department managers with oversight of productivity results while maintaining personal productivity results that meet or exceed department expectations.
- Assist in training and coaching peers under the direction and oversight of the department manager.
- Adapt and lead team in an ever-changing environment
- Lead by example to ensure safety regulations are met both individually and throughout the distribution center.
- Communicate results and progress to leadership on time and with accuracy as directed.
- Exemplify, promote, and monitor the application of consistent DC policy and procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas. Assist manager in monitoring compliance as assigned.
- In partnership with their manager, Supervisors are responsible for promoting a safe and productive work environment.
Education & Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma/ GED.
- Experience in manufacturing or related fields is preferred.
- Prior training or leadership background is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of Word and Excel is a plus.
- Self-directed, and able to work independently in a fast paced environment with a sense of urgency.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
People in this role should have a commitment to getting tasks completed and a hands-on approach to work. This role is well-suited for people with leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a keen attention to detail.
The following knowledge and skills are required:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- A well-developed ability to read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Must be able to receive and maintain appropriate certification for operating equipment.
