At FNIC, seamless client service and quality transactions showcases our quality of work, and that is what our Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for. Additionally, our Accounts Payable Specialist will be providing administrative support to ensure communication and process flow between our Accounting and client facing teams are timely and consistent.
What’s the work like?
You will...
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records payments and transactions related to accounts payable
- Research stale invoices and communicate with client facing teams and vendors to resolve
- Creates reports regarding the current status of payable accounts as requested
- Assists with vendor inquiries
- Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger
- Communicating invoicing issues with appropriate staff to resolve
- Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts payable as needed
- Relays changes of information to appropriate employees
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and notifies client facing teams of delinquent clients to request payment

What do I need to know?
You have to have...
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- High degree of proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), electronic mailing system (Outlook), and accounting software)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- High degree of accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
- High degree of independence and initiative with a defined sense of urgency
- Must possess strong analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret written financial information
- Knowledge of and proficiency in office equipment, including PC, fax, phone, and printers
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Ability to observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly
- Ability to conform with and abide by all workplace policies, work procedures, and instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Company employees and external contacts
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
- 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience
