Blending Supervisor
SUMMARY: The Blending Supervisor is responsible to support all activities in blending and ensures the accuracy of order processing, meet deadlines and quality assurance for shipments. This is a unique role that works with many different departments, therefore the ability to work collaboratively and positively is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following but will not be limited to. Other duties may be assigned.
· Prepare summary of production reports for inventory purposes and KPIs. This will include maintenance of management required for continuous improvement, performance standards, efficiencies, and utilization metrics for achieving company objectives.
· Ensure proper cleaning of equipment to ensure quality and safety is maintained. Monitor the equipment used to detect possible malfunctions, such as leaks, worn or missing parts. Report any malfunctions to the manager and maintenance department.
· Supervise cleaning and sanitizing of the blenders and blending processing areas. Engage in housekeeping, safety, and continuous improvement projects. Assisting with other duties as assigned by manager.
· Assist the monthly physical inventory team for all blending materials. Track inventory through our system for orders and availability.
· Consistently read and respond to all correspondence. Maintain communication with other members on shipment issues
· Communicates job expectations and provides coaching, counseling, and discipline to employees
· Enforces systems, policies, and procedures
· Maintains staff by assisting in the selecting, orienting, and training of employees; develops personal growth opportunities for associates
· Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process
· Observes control points and equipment, monitors personnel and resources
· Facilitates corrections to malfunctions within process control points, initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
· Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques
· Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
· Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action
· Maintains housekeeping at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members
· Monitors quality of finished products by dock inspection
· Develops and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
· Oversees and/or conducts training of new or existing employees
· Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements
· Helps develop, update, and maintain procedures and documentation for all Quality systems
· Works with EHS to identify significant safety and environmental impacts of plant operations and to establish goals and targets around significant environmental impact
· Wear required PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, close toed shoes/boots with rubber sole base)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand on feet at least 8 hours/day and use hands to touch, handle, or feel. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee must not wear any loose fitting clothing that may get in the way of the moving machinery. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
