Construction Inspector

Foit-Albert Associates is seeking resumes for a Construction Inspector NICET III-Senior Inspector or NICET IV-Resident Engineer to work on a construction project located in the town of Altona, NY. The construction inspector should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in inspection of heavy highways and bridges, specifically concrete repairs. The RE will perform all activities necessary to start, continue and close-out this project.

The RE will provide field inspections and ensure work follows drawings, specifications, and construction control documents. Inspection will follow MURK format or similar reporting forms. Starting June 2024 through completion approximately 21 weeks.

Requirements:

• Log and manage project submittals, RFI’s and correspondence.
• Create Monthly Progress Payments and Create Contract Change Orders.
• Accurately track contract change orders, material inspection, certification, and additional documentation.
• Knowledge of NYSDOT material methods, schedule and performs oversight of material testing.
• Assure general compliance with DOT and other agency standards and specifications.
• Communicate with residents and local business owners.
• Assure compliance with NYSDOL and Federal Regulations on utilization.
• Project closeout including red-lined as-built drawing creation.
• Other duties as needed.
