Overview
The Business Development & Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for executing and delivering internal and external projects, programs, events, and processes that support the business development and marketing strategies for the Texas offices and the Energy Sector. The Coordinator will interact with office and sector leadership, attorneys and business professionals across the firm.
Responsibilities
Assist with social media posts and help guide attorneys with LinkedIn posts
Create and manage community relations programs and initiatives
Manage and implement all events, webinars, conferences/seminars, client entertainment, and client receptions, including venue selection; reserving necessary rentals; invitation development and mailing lists; RSVP tracking; internal communications regarding the event; organizing registration; creating name tags; greeting attendees up arrival; being accessible to address guests' needs; preparing/ordering event materials, giveaway items, and signage
Coordinate all sponsorships and contributions allocated to the BDM budget and maintaining a database to track those expenses
Work with lead attorney(s) to identify community involvement and sponsorship opportunities in the local legal/business communities that are strategic for the firm and region
Track and monitor all memberships and sponsorships and track ROI
Track a measurable ROI follow up plan for events hosted and sponsored
Assist in creation and monitoring of budgets related to programs, events, etc.
Prepare pitch and proposal documents and presentation materials, including developing tailored content and maintaining up-to-date credentials
Coordinating business development and marketing projects, as assigned; taking ownership from inception through implementation
Coordinate and process all marketing-related expenses
Purchasing promotional giveaway items as needed
Draft, edit, and distribute external marketing materials and thought leadership
Prepare internal newsletters and region/sector-wide communications
Develop relationships with organizations to identify committee and Board opportunities for business development and profile purposes
Write and submit nominations for attorney(s) for local and sector media awards (e.g. Business Journal 40 under 40 or Top Women Lawyer), as well as draft legal directory submissions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or related field required
Minimum of one (1) year of marketing, business development, or related professional services experience required
Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
