Fontanese Folts Aubrecht Ernst Architects, P.C. is an award-winning firm which provides comprehensive planning and design services for a wide variety of markets, including Healthcare, Commercial, Municipal, Industrial, and Residential. We are currently hiring a Design/Drafter at our Orchard Park, NY office.

A successful candidate will be self-motivated and also possess strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills, as well as contribute to a positive work environment.

The overall expectations of the Designer/Drafter position are to work on multiple projects with project teams, including outside subconsultants, to ensure that all aspects of the project are being met and completed. The ideal candidate would be an architectural graduate with 5 years’ experience and possessing the following skills:

• Good communication & problem-solving skills
• A basic understanding of construction and detailing
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture, Microsoft (Office) and Adobe (Photoshop) products
• Revit experience and rendering skills a plus
• Sketchup and/or Adobe InDesign experience a plus
• Pursuing A.R.E. among near future goals a plus
• Able to work in a studio/team environment with other talented architects

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in generating and modifying accurate plans, sections, elevations and details; Assist in coordinating project’s Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Protection Plans with Engineering consultants and under the supervision of a Job Captain and/or Project Architect. Manage their time across multiple tasks to perform duties on schedule within a fluid work structure.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft (Office) and Adobe (Photoshop) products.

Understanding of building materials and typical means and methods of construction.

The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues.

SUPPLEMENTAL PAY:

• Bonus pay / Profit Sharing

SCHEDULE:

• 8 hour day / 40 hour week
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime available

• A.A.S.
• Bachelor (Preferred)
• B. Arch

EXPERIENCE:

• AutoCAD Architecture: 5 years (Preferred)
• Revit and/or SketchUp: 3 years (Preferred)

SALARY RANGE:

$40,000 - $50,000 per year
