CyberWest Hub is seeking a dynamic and creative Communications and Events Officer to join our team. As the Communications and Events Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic objectives of CyberWest Hub, a leading initiative in Western Australia's cyber security industry.
This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that shape the future of cyber security in the region.
The role will be responsible for a variety of tasks including :
- Maintaining social media channels
- Website content management
- VIP correspondence
- Planning and administration support of events from community events to hackathons
- General communications support

About You
You’re a communications professional with an interest in Cyber Security and protecting the community in WA. You excel at building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You love playing with social media and testing different methods for engagement. You’re a clever writer, with experience writing for multiple audiences and channels.
You enjoy helping to plan and organise events. You can manage competing initiatives and deadlines, and you’re exceptionally well organised.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as marketing and / or communications. You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Courage and Personal Excellence.
Benefits
This part-time, fixed-term position attracts a salary of $81,614 - $90,691 pa (paid on a pro-rata basis) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
This is a flexible, part-time position of 2.5-3 days a week. Some work outside normal business hours to deliver events will be required.
