Food For The Poor (FFTP) is looking for Development Advisor to develop fruitful donor relationships in Boston MA. The objective of the position is to develop a presence for FFTP by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors, with an emphasis on major gifts.
SUMMARY:
The Regional Development Advisor will be passionate about service to those living below the poverty line in developing countries in the Caribbean and Latin America. Will have 5 years’ experience raising major gifts in the associated region, a dynamic personality, and a boundless desire to spend most of the time communicating opportunities to current and prospective donors to build out support in the respective region.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 5 years of successful Major Gifts fundraising experience in the Boston, MA market.
- Experience working independently to build networks, connect like-minded individuals around a common cause, and garner significant financial support.
- Innovative self-starter with positive disposition and drive to succeed.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Major Gifts fundraising principles and practices.
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills geared toward diverse audiences including corporate, foundation, and individual donors.
- Impeccable writing skills with the ability to consistently represent the organization’s branding in all communications.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with an emphasis on time management and the ability to plan, organize and implement numerous projects simultaneously.
- Must have a valid Driver License and be comfortable traveling alone on a regular basis.
