Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the planning and development of programming activities, applications systems, and requirements standards for project teams.
- Directs the activities of personnel and/or project staff to ensure the development and implementation of systems applications programs are on time and within budgets.
- Develops short- and long-term applications systems plans that are consistent with the needs and priorities of the business.
- Manage, coach and mentor a team of Microsoft .NET developers
- Split time between managing others and completing development tasks
- Responsible for reporting project status to management
- Manage the relationship with corporate IT and coordinate/collaborate with corporate IT as necessary.
- Function as the main contact with key business stake holders. Understand their business needs and challenges and partner with them to anticipate and solve their IT needs
- Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley and IT Policy Compliance for all systems
- Provide guidance to infrastructure teams with respect to hardware requirement for new and existing systems
- Participation in after-hours system related functions such as production support, conversions, upgrades, and implementations.
- Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree/4 year technical degree or equivalent business or technology experience
- 2 or more years of experience leading a team of .NET developers
- 5 years of progressive experience with designing, building, implementing and maintaining applications with the Microsoft .NET Framework
- 3 years of prior Insurance Agency Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or related financial industry system software support and management experience.
- 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008, 2012, etc.) including reporting services, integration services, and performance tuning
- 2-3 years of project management experience
- Experience with data warehousing concepts such as ETL processes, Star Schema and Snowflake database design
- Experience with bank positive pay interfaces and Enterprise General Ledger systems and interfaces • Hands on technical expertise with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework 3.5 or greater, .Net Core 3.0, Entity Framework, MVC, Azure ( Service Bus Queue, Blob Storage, Logic Apps, Azure Monitor) Desired:
- Insurance brokerage industry experience.
- Prior experience with Applied System’s Epic agency management systems
- Hands on technical experience with Telerik, JSON, JQuery, WCF, domain-driven design, RESTful web services Work Traits:
