Job Posting for Controller at Food Management Search

The Controller will manage all financial oversight of plant operations including financial planning, performance analysis and reporting, preparation of P&L statements, balance sheets, cost accounting activities, budget development, and statutory reporting. As a leader in the department, you will provide business analysis for manufacturing variance, variable and fixed costs, impacts of productivity improvements, and capital investments. With a focus on strategy and sustainability, the Controller will help guide division or contribution margin growth and ROFE performance.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • As Controller, you will oversee all division financial and accounting functions including GL, financial planning, AP/AR, management information systems, and cost accounting
  • You will manage and direct a team of 4 accounting personnel
  • With cross-functional support responsibilities, the Controller will support new program launches
  • You will provide support to Sales and Engineering in quotations on new and existing products
  • The Controller will lead the preparation of division financial reports for corporate and group offices
  • You will be responsible for the preparation of the division business plan and quarterly forecasts
  • The Controller will assure proper account classification, purchasing controls, and reasonableness on purchase requisitions

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance
  • 10 years of accounting experience in manufacturing
  • CPA highly desired
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
