The Construction Specialist will be helping construct and maintain company facilities. Skills in construction pipeline, welding, and emergency response will be instrumental as you work on major pipeline construction projects, perform repairs on various sizes of pipelines and complete upgrades to existing pipelines.
In this role you will be expected to a combination of the following requirements :
- Have a Class A CDL
- Have heavy pipeline construction experience.
- Have experience operating an excavator / trac hoe around live gas lines.
- Have experience working around welding operations.
- You will be :
- Working from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
- Performing Hydrotests as needed.
- Identifying reports and correct safety and environmental concerns
- Actively participating in safety programs / initiatives, development of O&M Procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes, and work plans.
- Other duties :
- Be comfortable with heavy and smaller equipment operations, maintenance, assisting a welder and performing labor tasks.
- Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
- Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork.
WHERE THE WORK IS DONE :
- Job is in Hudson CO. Includes office and field working conditions.
- Must respond to and address callouts and emergencies after regular business hours. Living environs will be relevant to work location to respond.
- Frequent travel and occasional overtime may be required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED :
You as a successful candidate will have experience in operating heavy equipment around live lines, have a Class A CDL and have heavy pipeline construction experience in all phases.
You will have a high school diploma (or equivalent experience) , a valid US driver's license and be able to pass a background check.
You will also need knowledge of :
- Micrometers, calipers, and thickness testing equipment.
- Equipment operations and servicing.
- Basic properties of metals.
- Pipe SMYS grades and ANSI fitting pressure classes.
Experience in
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs, and other diagrams
- MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
You will make an impression if you have knowledge, training, or experience in :
- Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high- and low-pressure systems.
- Experience working on hazardous gas and liquids pipeline systems that incorporate API, ASME, and DOT codes and standards.
- Evidence of previous Operator Qualification (OQ) for pipeline maintenance.
- Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, or other industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of Hazardous Waste Operations. (HAZWOPER)
- Ability to sketch field drawings for as-builts, piping designs, BOM’s, weld-maps, etc.
