Essential Job Functions
Conduct a physical site inspection using a variety of equipment and tools including but not limited to; measuring devices, hand tools, various ladder types and sizes, and more.
Investigates and resolves customer issues, which will be largely if not entirely post activation of their solar system.
Follow organization policies and procedures including OSHA requirements. Complete OSHA training as required
Manages, schedules, and completes all service and warranty related work.
Organizes, leads, and maintains the warranty and service schedule
Works with the Field service tech 3, to allocate labor resources to service and warranty projects
Supports training and development for Field Service Technicians and system monitoring techs
Supports the on-boarding and training of new members of the field performance team
Regularly exceeds defined goals for field performance key performance indicators including but not limited to turnaround time, experience rating and average dispatches completed
Supports with site audits when needed
Education/Experience
Actively licensed as an Electrician in applicable state(s); as applicable, work experience may be used in place of license
1 years residential solar experience required, including hands-on experience with electrical components of a photovoltaic system
Proficiency with computers and various applications including MS Office, as well as a general disposition towards learning technology including the use of online platforms such as but not limited to Dropbox, Salesforce (CRM) on various devices (laptop, tablet, and smartphone)
Proficiency with Google Workspace preferred
Ability for and no fear of working from ladders/scaffolding or working in confined spaces such as crawl spaces or attics, under mobile homes
General knowledge of installation of energy saving materials and associated tools
Must possess a valid state driver’s license and clean driving record
