Fooda’s finance and accounting team is growing with the addition of a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to assist the company and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with finance initiatives to support ambitious Company growth.
The Finance/FP&A team manages the reporting rhythm – from daily to quarterly – as well as the forecasting process. They help accelerate business growth through identification of levers and bottlenecks to leadership all within the framework of an ever-changing landscape.
You are responsible for supporting the CFO, Executive Team and leading Finance project initiatives. Your focus is on optimizing Finance’s support of the business through providing reporting and value-added insights including partner with cross-functional teams to assist in budgeting, forecasting and providing analytical and reporting support for the Fooda markets and departments.
This position reports to the CFO and currently has two direct reports (Financial Analysts).

What You Will Be Doing:
- Manage the team of two financial analysts and allocate work to support (i) Market and Enterprise teams and (ii) on-going monthly reporting and compliance needs of the company.
- Oversee the team’s work to build, maintain and track budgets and forecasts.
- Using monthly reports produced by team to:
- Effectively communicate analysis and insights that explain material variances versus actual results
- Identify emerging trends that warrant additional investigation and determine if there are opportunities for growth, efficiencies or cost reduction.
- Lead the quarterly and yearly budgeting process, working collaboratively with Market and Enterprise teams as well as corporate departments.
- Maintain and track operating and business metrics such as capital expenditures, headcount, working capital sources and uses. Create new KPI’s that align with the Company’s goals and help managers better measure their performance versus goals.
- Build financial models for new business concepts
- Develop scalable and efficient financial processes that:
- Support a rapidly growing business
- Assist in identifying potential errors in reporting
- Provide better tracking of expenses for Corporate departments
- Leverage NetSuite and Tableau to develop:
- Standardized reporting that can be easily created and distributed to Executive, Market and Enterprise teams
- Ad-hoc reporting that addresses specific questions or trends observed in financial statements
- Assess current systems (combination of NetSuite, Tableau and Fooda’s POS) to determine what additional tools may be needed to improve FP&A analysis; implement such tools.
- Interact with Accounting Team and assess whether changes in the business might warrant changes in NetSuite reporting
- Work with CFO and Executive team on presentations for investors or lenders
- Manage the data collection process for due diligence conducted by third parties.
- Assess outside metrics that relate to the business and may help either explain current trends or predict changes in the outlook for the future.

- Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience including an FP&A role in an operating business
- Experience in investment banking, professional services or consulting is a plus
