Summary
At FoodChain ID we are committed to consistently delivering the highest levels of operation and service excellence in our industry. Our IT Department is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. This position also includes designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. The QA Analyst offers the opportunity for growth, implementing quality management plans for verification, validation, and continuous improvement of web applications built on a .Net-based framework in an Agile software development environment process.

Role and Responsibilities
- Write and execute test cases and document test results in accordance with test plans
- Monitor, track, and report on software regression test case failures
- Participate in the development of quality measurements
- Coordinate and manage the execution of testing to completion on a scheduled timeframe
- Facilitate the development of testable requirements
- Monitor and manage test environments
- Work with Product Manager, QA Manager, Release Manager, Business Analyst and Developers on product readiness
- Provide post-implementation support on deliverables
- Classify issue severity
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Understanding the basics of software development life cycle
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Exposure to quality / lean practices
- Ability to focus on details
- Passion for learning, innovation, objectivity, and teamwork
- Ability to work within a team and also independently on assigned tasks
- Analytical mindset with a detail-oriented focus
Working experience with one or more of the following is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Software programming
- Automated software testing and DevOps
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
- Agile software development methodology, knowledge, or experience a plus

Work Environment
Most positions with FCID operate in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Physical Demands
This is a sedentary role; however, some standing, bending, and lifting is required. This position is subject to lifting files and computer-related equipment (up to 25 lbs.), opening filing cabinets and bending or standing as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Working Hours
Full-time positions require a minimum of 40 hours per week. Associates are expected to be available during “core” hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CDT. Some flexibility in hours is allowed and must be approved by your direct supervisor.
