Responsibilities:
- Implement the requirements of the Quality Management System.
- Act as a direct point of contact with the Client and hold authority to handle QA/QC issues.
- Assess Inspection and Test Plans and Procedures, coordinating with the Construction Manager and Method Statements.
- Ensure that all installations adhere to contract specifications and approved submittals.
- Perform inspections and tests at various stages of the process in line with Quality Plan and Contract requirements.
- Work with Construction Managers to enforce Quality System requirements and conduct Internal Quality Audits.
- Issue Non-Conformance Reports when needed and ensure thorough review.
- Guarantee availability of pertinent documents like Quality System copies, QA/QC procedures, and Codes and Standards on-site.
- Supervise the implementation of corrective and preventive actions for product and system non-conformances.
- Identify and coordinate quality-related training sessions.
- Manage inspection, measuring, and test equipment as per Contractor’s Quality System Procedure.
- Oversee the testing laboratory and its technicians.
- Monitor Sub-contractor performance to uphold quality standards.
- 10 years of QA/QC experience in industrial construction environment, preferably in utility / substation construction
- EPC contractor experience preferred.
