- Teach community college statistics and mathematics courses to a diverse student population (course range includes algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, discrete mathematics, linear algebra, differential equations, and statistics).
- Collaborate in the development and revision of curriculum.
- Provide teaching and mentoring services to students in a manner which is inclusive and mindful of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, protected veteran status, political affiliation, or other protected categories.
- Teach in multiple modalities, including asynchronous/synchronous/hybrid online and in-person courses.
- Standard duties expected of all faculty include development and evaluation of curricula, maintaining scheduled office hours, attending department and division meetings, pursuing professional growth activities, service on district and/or college committees, and performing other duties consistent with the role of an instructor. Instructors also have the opportunity to participate in campus extra-curricular activities.

- Master's degree in mathematics or applied mathematics OR, Bachelor's in either of the above AND Master's in statistics, physics, or mathematics education OR, the equivalent.

- Commitment to instructional practices that empower students who are typically underrepresented in STEM fields.
- Experience working with community college students and/or similar populations.
- Ability to prepare for and teach all mathematics and statistics courses offered by the department in a way that conveys enthusiasm for the subject and fosters excitement and curiosity inside and outside the classroom.
- Using a variety of instructional methods that emphasize cooperation and collaboration among students and engage students in their own learning.
