Foothills Landscape Maintenance, LLC is a growing and well-established landscape maintenance company based out of Windsor, CO that serves the Northern Colorado area. FLM is now accepting applications for a Landscape Crew Leader.

Landscape Crew Leader – Under the direction of an Account Manager, provide necessary leadership and labor for landscape maintenance or installation projects using hand or power tools or equipment. Conduct weekly maintenance of properties by mowing, trimming, pulling weeds, removing debris, and other similar duties; install plants, trees and hardscapes. Other landscape maintenance duties may be required. Snow removal is required in the winter months; other winter work may include winter cleanups and winter watering. Understand and implement company policies and procedures.

What you will do

Maintains outdoor landscape appearance by cutting the grass using various commercial-grade riding mowers and walk behind push mowers. Gather and remove litter Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws. Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using hedge pruners, hand pruners, saws, pole saws, chainsaws, rakes, loppers, and similar hand tools. Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds. Attach wires from planted trees to support stakes. Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools. Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers. Rake, mulch, and compost leaves. Decorate gardens with stones or plants. Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas. Plan or cultivate lawns or gardens. Install rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage systems, irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences, planters, or playground equipment. Haul or spread topsoil or spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place.

Accurately complete daily work orders and paperwork for entire crew, per established process

Prepares for assigned landscaping work by reviewing requests; gathering tools, equipment, supplies, and materials.

Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to maintain property, lay sod, or plant flowers, trees or foliage, etc.

Assess crew skill levels and assign appropriate jobs to crew members

Instruct and monitor crew in use of tools, equipment and vehicles

Provide on-the-job training and supervision; leading and teaching others. Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.

Implement safety, quality, cleanliness and security guidelines for site, persons and equipment

Ends the day by disposing of accumulated debris, replacing tools and equipment, cleaning out and refueling the truck, and turning in paperwork.

Required Qualifications –

1 year or more Full time experience in landscape maintenance or installation services

A strong working knowledge of the tools, materials and practices for landscape maintenance or installation. High

Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills. High

Demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements and provide practical, cost effective solutions. Medium

Demonstrated ability to develop trusting relationships with customers and crew members. Medium

An ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals of varied backgrounds. Medium

The ability to handle multiple and varied responsibilities and to set priorities Medium

The ability as a representative of FLM to project a consistently positive, professional and competent image in all dealings with the employees and public Medium

DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State

We are looking for self-motivated people who can be self-starters and leaders to others.

- Valid Colorado Driver's License

- Good driving history/Provide motor vehicle record upon interview, must be insurable and willing to drive

- Open availability, including snow removal is required

Pay: $19.00 - $28.75 per hour

SNOW REMOVAL IS PAID AT $35.00 PER HOUR
