As part of FTR s Implementation team, the Installation Technician will be responsible for the professional installation of FTR products at client sites. The incumbent will provide technical installation services for all aspects of AV installation to meet defined deliverables. Installation services shall meet and/or exceed professional industry standards. This role plays an imperative part in customer-focused installation of digital audio-visual systems. These services must be completed to a professional standard, and per the agreed schedule and within budget. Reading schematic diagrams and blueprints to ensure systems are installed per design is an important aspect of success in this role. This role involves working with the FTR team during the installation of our solutions and through to the implementation and handover to the client.

Primary Role Responsibilities:

• With excellent customer communications and troubleshooting skills, perform onsite installation and integration of FTR products.
• Follow instructions from project leads to accomplish daily and weekly task goals to complete installs on time for go-live
• Communicate with leads to confirm project requirements are met and inform of issues and/or concerns
• Audio-Visual hardware installs and basic setup per team lead instructions, including video conferencing and configuring commercial audio/visual equipment and systems i.e., digital audio (Biamp/BSS), control (Crestron/AMX), video routing & image processing.
• Read, follow, and maintain knowledge base articles and technical documents
• Install and configure software per instructions as required
• Install, mount and provision items including but not limited to speakers, microphones, connection plates, flat screen displays, video cameras, and equipment racks.

Special Working Conditions:

• Interstate travel may be required
• Incumbent may need to be available outside normal working hours should issues arise (installations may happen during evening/night hours)
• Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a security background check

Essential Work Experience, Qualifications and Skills:

• Working knowledge and understanding of Installed Audio/visual Systems environments and the role played by equipment such as audio DSP s, flat screens display, touch panels/touchscreens, control systems, and ethernet switches
• Basic experience and understanding of rack building processes and approaches
• Possess intermediate technical aptitude to understand general technology infrastructure
• Ability and knowledge of basic hand and powered tools required
• Understanding of basic tools, test equipment and software used for testing, configuring, commissioning systems
• Ability to ensure consistency of standards/procedures & promote efficiencies
• Outstanding commitment to customer service and internal & external customer experience
• Capability to build strong and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including vendors
• An ability to always maintain a positive outlook and working attitude
• Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive and classified data
• Consistently able to lift 50-lbs unassisted
• Work site likely will require ability to navigate stairs, ladders, and confined spaces

Desired Work Experience, Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience working with teams in other time zones
• Experience working in courts, law enforcement and government institutions
• 2-4 years experience with A/V Technology installation
