Sales Specialist – Mid West (WI, ND, & SD)
Movement Systems is currently seeking a Sales Specialist. As a member of this team, the qualified individual will be responsible for calling on Distributor, OEM & End User accounts, to generate sales of the plastic modular (Prolink) and positive Drive belting product lines and assist local sales representatives. In addition will assist in the development and implementation of a regional sales strategy to cover active accounts and a focus on developing new growth opportunities
The ideal individual will service the Mid West region. An average of 3 days per week travel is anticipated. The ideal candidate is self-managed, mechanically inclined, flexible, and team-oriented with excellent selling skills and should possess strong integrity and professionalism.

Movement Systems is a global industry leader for sophisticated conveyor and processing belts, plastic modular belts, top-quality power transmission belts, as well as timing and flat belts made of synthetic materials. These products are known under the brand name Siegling. They are used in a wide range of applications in industry, trade, and the service sector, including conveyor and processing belts in the food industry, treadmill belts in fitness studios, and flat belts in mail distribution centers.

- Successfully prospect and develop new customer relationships by evaluating the customers’ requirements for both Plastic Modular (Prolink) and Positive Drive products.
- Visit customers regularly to evaluate and understand their production challenges and identify opportunities for Forbo to provide value with our unique products, services, and solutions.
- Ability to use solution-based selling methods and tools.
- Ability to communicate, verbally & written, with internal stakeholders and management team, on all levels, to improve sales closure ratio and to further develop regional sales strategy effectively & professionally.
- Build and maintain relationships across all customer functions, plant, and corporate levels, to ensure sales performance.
- Capability to prepare detailed business reviews as required, to keep management informed of customer activities.
- Ability to develop sales strategy and business plan within defined region to achieve both individual and company goals.
- Participate in company meetings as required.
- Self-starter with ability to independently carry out day to day job responsibilities.
Requirements:
- B.S. or B.A. from an accredited university or relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven, successful industrial sales experience.
- Previous conveyor belting, or industrial sales experience a plus.
- Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT & CRM).
- The ability to travel extensively is essential. Willingness to travel 60-70%.
- Excellent communicator and team player
Working Conditions:
- Position requires, but is not limited to the following demands/factors:
- Physical:
- Frequent walking and/or standing, stooping, reaching, crouching, twisting, and pulling using light to medium force while inspecting / surveying customer’s premises for belting and accessories needs. This includes climbing on, over, or under customer machinery or equipment.
- Ability to complete up to 6 – 8 customer sales visits a day.
- Frequent writing and use of telephone.
- Frequent driving.
- Frequent use of computer using a keyboard for data entry.
- Speak and hear clearly and distinctly to verbally communicate with others.
- Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less to be able to read and verify accurate information (i.e., numbers, dates, measurements, etc.)
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Environmental:
- Typical business office setting while working from home.
- Possible exposure to dust, heat, cold, mechanical, electrical, chemical, or other special hazards depending on customers’ facilities.
Protective Clothing/Devices:
- As required for customer site visits and interaction with manufacturing/fabrication area.
