The FinOps analyst will work with the team to promote a culture of cost accountability and awareness for Forcepoint’s cloud consumption. Key areas for this role will include evaluation of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, consumption analysis and KPIs, analytics, capacity, and automation. Cloud Financial Management Support the cloud monthly budget and forecast process in evaluating consumption, and savings in collaboration with accounting, finance, and technical owners. Support stakeholders in understanding their cloud spend based on their business roadmap and budgeted forecast. Monitor cloud consumption at the account level to detect, investigate, and escalate anomalies and unplanned spikes. Analyze, report, and automate the production of meaningful insights from large raw datasets within cloud billing and usage tools, data lake, CMDB, and other asset inventories as applicable. Support the team to Cost Optimization and track resource utilization to define and execute relevant cloud commitment plans and to define strategies to re-purpose freed up capacity. Work with team to develop, maintain, and automate reports and KPIs that provide detailed usage statistics of resources across the multi cloud landscape. Evaluate and investigate data patterns to derive insightful knowledge that can inform strategic and operational decisions. Participate in business case development, cost modeling, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and trade-off exercises. Participate in automating, integrating, and maturing the Cloud FinOps team's processes and data. People Management This role does not have direct reports Success Measures for the Role Help drive achievement of best-in-class technology cost performance. Develop and maintain strong and mutually supportive relationships with internal partners, to ensure joint objectives are achieved. Play a key role in supporting Forcepoint through technology transformation, leveraging appropriate change management practices and skills, and helping to build automated FinOps practices. Personal Development Significant growth potential in this role, given scope of transformation to be delivered in the coming years. Qualifications Basic knowledge of AWS Cloud services, AWS Invoice process, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans...etc) Ability to help the team with large scale, highly visible programs. Basic understanding of the core Finance principles and corporate accounting process (forecast, invoicing, chargeback, accruals...etc) Ability to work with cloud platform data to support decision making. Help support deep dives into operational models to further dissect issues or identify opportunities. Support the team to navigate, cleanse and integrate raw data to develop dynamic dashboards using data analytics tools such as CloudHealth/Cloudaware, AWS suite, PowerBI, Google Big Query, GSuite products etc... Ability to communicate effectively and engage with teams across the organization. Has aptitude to learn and understanding new concepts and technologies. Strong organizational skills. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Team player and self-driven with a transformation mindset. Able to work across functionally diverse teams. Ability to operate successfully in a lean, agile, and fast-paced organization. 4-6 years of experience with basic understanding of the public cloud environment.
