The Global Extranet Services Team is responsible for the Planning and Delivery of Extranet Solutions for Supplier, Joint Venture, and Public access to Ford that meet the Business needs in a cost-effective and timely manner while maintaining Ford’s Security Policy. The group is responsible for the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific Regions. The technologies include firewalls (physical and virtual), virtual hosting systems, VPN solutions, management tools, remote access solutions, and other security solutions.
Key activities include:
- Refresh of existing and implementation of new Extranet solutions.
- Technical support to the Extranet Operations team.
- Consulting services for customers seeking assistance with Extranet solutions.
- Hardware and Software upgrades.
- Assist Engineering with product comparison, evaluation, testing, and recommendations.
- Proof of Concept (POC) of new solutions/technology.
- Maintain a deployment of 400 devices.
