Experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician

Full Time Maintenance Technician needed for our apartment complex located in Spokane, WA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance duties in the apartments and around the property. These duties will require the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, make proper and necessary repairs as needed in a manner that will maintain the company's image, their business goals, and their rapport with Residents.

Duties/Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Must be willing and able to carry the on-call/after hours emergency phone. Must respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate concerns and prevent serious damage. This responsibility is on a weekly rotation schedule shared with one other Maintenance Technician.
• Must be willing to coordinate with and take direction from Property Manager.
• Proficiency in use of basic power and hand tools.
• Proficiency in basic plumbing skills (i.e. replacing water heaters, toilets, angle stops, etc.).
• Proficiency in basic electric skills (i.e. replacing GFCI's, light fixtures, etc.).
• Proficiency in carpentry skills.
• Proficiency in painting and caulking skills.
• Perform preventative maintenance in the apartments and around the property.
• Perform other assigned work related duties (i.e. timely completion of work orders)
• Ability to get along with others and work as a team.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in apartment, property, or building maintenance.
• Three work or business references.
• Background check and drug and alcohol screening will be required.

HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:
Full-time day shift hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with need of flexibility for rotating on-call responsibilities required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
