Job Summary
The Medical Assistant performs a variety of tasks in conjunction with the team-based approach to health care for clients served by FD’s Article 29i facility. They will work closely with the nursing team and the Director of Health Services to ensure our clients receive comprehensive care.

Job Summary
The Medical Assistant performs a variety of tasks in conjunction with the team-based approach to health care for clients served by FD’s Article 29i facility. They will work closely with the nursing team and the Director of Health Services to ensure our clients receive comprehensive care.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
- Maintain and track mental, dental and medical referrals and follow up
- Initial and annual special and exceptional rate packets
- Coordinate and resolve medication inquiries from pharmacy and patients
- Clerical and administrative duties as assigned
- Answer calls, emails and prepare health service documents as needed.
- Enter required information into the EHR
- Associate / Bachelor’s degree
- Spanish-speaking preferred
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office and electronic health systems.
