What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Demand Generation position at Forethought?
We are tackling a $100B market opportunity, and we’re looking for a phenomenal demand gen leader to own our paid acquisition strategy across every channel.
What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities):
- Create and manage our paid acquisition strategy to drive pipeline and ARR.
- Own and regularly evaluate performance marketing generated pipeline. You will have monthly and quarterly MQL, SQL, and pipeline goals to hit.
- Oversee strategy for online channels including paid search (Google), paid social (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter), email campaigns, content syndication, event promotion, etc.
- Manage alternative channels and offline campaigns, including direct mail, podcasts, etc.
- Work closely with other marketing team members to ensure performance marketing is aligned with other teams including content, event, and product marketing teams.
- Create dashboards and reporting (in collaboration with Marketing Operations) using Hubspot, Salesforce and other tools to share performance marketing KPIs with other team members.
- Work with in-house design team to run experiments on creative, copy, and landing pages, then make necessary adjustments to optimize for performance.
- Manage strategic marketing projects; e.g., implementing Forethought’s chatbot on our homepage for enhanced lead generation, making website enhancements, and executing ABM and industry influencer campaigns.
Who You Are (Qualifications):
- 10 years of experience in demand generation or related roles.
- Comfortable in a startup environment, preferably in B2B SaaS with longer sales cycles.
- Experience managing annual demand gen budgets of $5-10M and an understanding of how to effectively distribute and scale ad spend.
- Expertise in Hubspot (Marketing Hub) and Salesforce (Sales Cloud) required. Familiarity with Metadata.io, 6sense, Primer, and Wordpress preferred.
- Ability to generate creative campaign ideas and build out concepts to test on paid channels.
- Work well independently and in a lean team environment.
- Ability to perform under pressure and with time constraints; strong project management skills and scrappy ability to go find information needed to make content and ads compelling.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and working on projects outside your key responsibilities.
