Manager, FP&A

Our high-growth Ed-Tech client is seeking an FP&A Manager to build out the finance function from the ground up for the company. In this role you’ll enable better decision making for the team by owning the strategy, planning, and execution of FP&A as the first full time hire for this team.

You’ll own budgeting, forecasting financial statements, monitoring all key metrics that impact our financial model, analysis, and all modeling to answer key business planning and strategy questions. The FP&A Manager reports directly to the CFO and will collaborate closely with our Controller and accounting team to create a seamless accounting/finance function.

Responsibilities

• Improve the current budgeting and forecasting process
• Through implementing user friendly technology for executives and leaders to collaborate and do scenario planning
• Setup reporting and monitor all key metrics for our financial model
• Create Reporting in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or others
• Identify and Review data sources that monitor relevant external forces for our business for consideration in our planning and forecasting
• Perform Ad-hoc financial analysis
• Create Financial Models to answer business questions
• Create a Roadmap for the Finance Department that includes Systems, Policy/Process, and People.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in FP&A
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent business experience
• Exceptional knowledge of accounting to facilitate the integration of accounting and finance
• Experience using and implementing modeling and forecasting Software Tools
• Expert level experience with Excel to create financial models
• Experience creating and maintaining an integrated 3 statement financial model in excel
• Demonstrated experience working with department leaders to identify business drivers and develop accurate forecasts.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with senior executives and team, as well as mentoring/leading other team members
• MBA or equivalent experience preferred
• SQL Experience for Database queries is preferred
• Experience with Click up is preferred
