What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Specialist position at ForgeOS?
The ForgeOS team is growing! We are in need of a Product Specialist. This full-time, hybrid role is a great entry level position for highly detailed, organized, motivated and communicative individuals who have recently graduated or interested in taking their few years of working experience to the next level. Preferably, this is a hybrid role, working two days per week from our Baltimore, MD or Mt. Laurel, NJ office. Standard working hours are 8 am - 5 pm EDT.
The Product Specialist works with the software team to fulfill day-to-day user requests, coordinate trainings, and assist with system administration. In addition to servicing our user base, this person will assist with the documentation of internal processes, application technology, and training materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle day-to-day customer and internal ForgeOS requests sent to our support team including:
-Internal and customer user correspondence and management in application (creating and removing users as needed)
-Bug management: investigating, testing, and reporting
-Data imports and integrity requests
-Other small ad hoc requests
- Conduct testing for sprint releases (every other week) including reporting bugs to the developers and working to get them resolved
- Update content within the ForgeOS Customer Help Center in conjunction with other team members on a consistent and ongoing basis
- Assist in writing an internal and customer training doc library for the OS and Wizard, create training documents and update as needed
- Collaborate with multiple departments and team members to advocate the use and value of the product to internal and customer users through announcements, campaigns, and training outreach materials
- Maintain the standard operating procedures (S.O.P) library – email templates, customer approvals, etc. in collaboration with the Product Team
- Assist in software trainings with internal users and customers on the Forge OS platform
- Assist with demo data upkeep and data entry projects
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- High School diploma required; bachelor’s preferred in computer science, user experience, human computer interaction, psychology, sociology or a related discipline
- Exceptionally strong written and oral communication and customer-service oriented attitude
- Self-starter with great problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to train users (both technologically adept and novice) on detailed software processes
- Ability to understand software capabilities and write technical training materials
- Ability to understand and communicate how ForgeOS’s software solutions integrate into the customer’s telecommunications landscape
- Ability to learn, adapt, and adjust quickly with new feature releases
- Experience with O365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams), Trello, Zoho Projects and Design Software experience a plus, but not required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
- Must be able to read, write and speak English proficiently
