Our Catering team is based out of Fork Flask and was voted a 6-time Best Caterer Downstate by Delaware Today Magazine, and we are looking to add more hardworking, dependable individuals to our talented crew. La Vida Hospitality Group’s Catering Staff are experts in providing top-notch customer service to all of our clients and guests, during every single event, to ensure client expectations are met & exceeded. Catering Staff will execute event set-up, serve guests during the event, and ensure smooth break-down once events are over. Our Catering team focuses on celebrations including weddings, rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, engagement parties, work events & luncheons, bridal & baby showers, fundraisers, private sharing dinners, cooking workshops, and many more. Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service to ensure client & guest expectations are met according to event instruction and company standards
Responsible for executing event set-up, placing linens, setting tables, and setting up buffets and bar to La Vida specifications
Communicate with Director of Catering, Event Manager, and Catering Team to ensure event runs smoothly
Serve meals and plated dinners to guests, refill beverages, and respond to requests for other needs
Clear dishes and glassware in a timely manner
Keep serving stations restocked throughout the event
Complete clean up and break down from service
Treat all guests in a friendly, attentive, and positive manner
Be a team player and assist other catering staff as needed to optimize the client & guest’s dining experience
Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness
Live the La Vida brand and be a brand ambassador, making decisions in the best interest of the company every time

Qualifications:
Server, bartender or banquet cook experience a plus
Must be available weekends and weekend evenings, particularly Saturday, with flexibility in schedule
Must be comfortable working outside in a fast-paced environment
Must possess reliable transportation to & from events and eligibility to work in the United States
Excellent listening and communication skills
Ability to follow direction and adhere to client requests
Excellent customer service skills and passion for hospitality
Frequently carry trays, cases & dish racks; must be able to lift/carry 25lbs on a regular basis, occasionally 50lbs
Frequently walk and stand for 8-hour periods, possibly extended distances, ability to bend and climb stairs if necessary
Ability to reach hands and arms and kneel and stoop repeatedly
