Role Description
We are looking for a creative and diligent systems architect to play an integral role in the development of requirements and specifications, tying together product requirements, functional requirements, compliance, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and validation testing using a thoughtful and collaborative process. You will be responsible for co-building, maintaining and using a robust framework, spanning from system-level down to battery cell-level requirements, that ensures Form Energy delivers products exceeding customer expectations. The role will be highly collaborative, involving working with nearly all engineering teams at Form Energy, including systems, battery module, battery cell, battery component, manufacturing, and test & validation teams. As one of the first members of the Product Architecture team, which sits at the intersection of technology development, product development, and product management, you will play a central role in developing our first multi-day storage product.
\n- Help build and maintain the overall structure and documentation systems for requirements, specifications, FMEA, and their connection to V&V test plans, from system-level to cell-level.
- Drive reconciliation of key functional requirements and specifications at subsystem interfaces among various stakeholders through thoughtful, data- and analysis-driven collaboration.
- Help build and drive an FMEA process that continuously feeds FMEA learnings into functional requirements.
- Engage with test teams on verification and validation test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage of requirements.
- Collaborate with domain experts spanning multiple disciplines to help scope, execute, and communicate the results of trade studies that inform architecture decisions.
- Strong systems engineering background with 5 years experience in a product development environment
- Familiarity with one or more requirements management tools (Jama, Polarion, or similar)
- Ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of a wide range of technical details spanning multiple disciplines, from electrochemistry to mechanical engineering
- Ability to communicate technical detail at multiple levels, for multiple audiences, across multiple disciplines
- Highly organized and highly attentive to details
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel to visit our CA, MA or PA site on at least a quarterly basis
The salary range for this role is $164,410 - $202,785. The range listed is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and may be modified in the future. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
