The Job:
The Operations Initiatives Manager is responsible for driving innovation in our operations. We produce 3D printed parts as well as refurb products. This role will be responsible for scheduling the production of 3D printed parts, driving new operations Initiatives, finding areas of continuous improvement, defining an improvement plan, and implementing improvements. The Operations Initiatives Manager is self motivated, independent, with a great sense of ownership, accountability, and bias for action.
Overall responsibilities:
- Plan and monitor the production process to ensure that production orders are completed on time and within budget.
- Optimize facility’s capacity on all production lines
- Forecast demand and estimate required capacity growth to meet said demand
- Identify, define, and implement process improvements that will increase throughput and capacity, reduce cost, and enhance product quality
- Communicate with with cross-functional stakeholders about critical production issues
- Instill and introduce lean inventory systems using kanban and 5S principles.
- Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage that may arise.
- Business owner of the production execution system
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred.
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ultimately, an exceptional Operations Initiatives Manager should demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure that production operations run smoothly.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
