Formosa Interactive is looking for a talented and motivated 2D/ 3D generalist to join our growing studio. You have a proven track record in creating high-quality artwork in a broad range of styles and finish levels in this role.
The perfect candidate will demonstrate experience designing characters, props, vehicles, and environments. You are accomplished at delivering game ready 3D assets as well as content used in video production in ei. You can work across several styles and genres and have a desire to deliver a high visual quality that delights our customers.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the art director and production leads to create all content of different categories as either 2D or 3D assets, models, or pixel art.
- Create 2D images or 3D models from concepts for various elements, including characters and props
- Create 2D assets for the games' social media, videos, and other external communication.
- Navigate game clients and editors to compose, frame, and capture and edit high-quality screenshots.
- Excellent communication skills demonstrating the ability to work effectively and collaboratively across all functional disciplines of the team.
- Contribute to the consistency of the team's deliverables through regular critiques, feedback, and mentoring.
- Increase the team's skills through mentorship of skills, process, and artistic techniques.
- Help grow a healthy, collaborative, fun and creative studio culture.
Required Skills:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in game development in the concept discipline.
- Portfolio/website demonstrating exceptional art skills and strong design sensibilities
- Knowledge of 3D modeling and asset creation packages like Maya, Max, Blender, Photoshop, After Effects and Figma, Sketch, XD or similar design tools.
- Excellent eye for light, value, color, composition, and details.
- Capacity for understanding pixel art of all types - textures, UI and illustrations.
- Solid research and exploration methods that demonstrate creative problem-solving.
- Able to produce hero assets that set the example for and inspire the team.
- Can take direction and contribute to, interpret, and communicate visual direction with the team and the client with clarity and strong visual vocabulary.
- Have shipped games on PC or console titles in a concept artist position.
- Passion for making and playing great games, with an awareness of current titles and industry trends.
Pluses:
- Be an avid gamer!
- Skill in one or more related disciplines – traditional art mediums.
- Some Concept skills, ability to visualize and concept environments and props.
Education:
- High School education or equivalent required.
- BA/BS in applicable field preferred.
The listed pay range is the salary or hourly wage range that we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to background, skills, experience, education, geographic location and market demands.
