What are the responsibilities and job description for the ELECTRICIAN-CONSTRUCTION position at Forrest Health?
Job Summary:
Installs, tests, and repairs electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances. Reads blueprints, electrical diagrams, and shop drawings; runs conduit; sizes and pulls wire as required to install a complete and working electrical system. Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.
Performance Expectations
- Demonstrates the ability to plan and install electrical systems and devices based on construction documents.
- Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot routine electrical issues and provide corrective measures.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform assigned electrical repairs to building systems such as lighting and power issues as well as make repairs to equipment.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
High school diploma or GED required.
Work Experience:
3 years previous related work experience required. An Associate's Degree or trade school degree in the field of electricity, electrical installations, or electrical systems may be a substitute for experience.
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
- Valid Drivers License
- Maintain a Good Driving Record
Mental Demands:
Ability to follow directives, works with other crafts within the industry, and demonstrates initiative.
