Accountant - Casino

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, timeliness and integrity of the general ledger and assisting in the monthly closing, reconciliation and review process. The position reports directly to the Controller and also acts as a backup for all aspects of the accounting process: including but not limited to payables, revenue audit and payroll.

The position will make use of an applicant's strong technical accounting, analytical problem solving and organizational skills, all with a strong understanding of confidentiality.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business with a concentration in Accounting
• Minimum of 3 years of applicable accounting experience in a gaming industry and/or hospitality environment
• Minimum of 3 years of general ledger accounting experience
• Ability to reconcile all classifications of balance sheet accounts, including: cash accounts; inventory accounts; payable accounts; fixed asset accounts; and liability accounts
• Ability to process monthly journal entries and participate in facilitating the monthly closing process
• Intermediate/advance excel, report writer, and database skills

PREFERRED:

• Revenue Audit, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll experience
• Experience with accurate and dependable daily reporting
• Microsoft Dynamics Navision, Oasis, Micros, SWS by Agilysys software experience helpful
• Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative

• Performs other related duties as required.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to lift in excess to 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.
