 Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at The Guardhouse. One of Fort Worden Hospitality’s unique outlets, The Guardhouse, located in the former army base's jail, offering a one-of-a-kind ambiance that combines historical charm with modern hospitality. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and an eagerness to provide an exceptional guest experience. This role involves engaging with guests, maintaining a strong presence behind the bar, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for everyone.

Key Responsibilities

• Exhibit hospitality and maintain professionalism with both guests and colleagues, contributing to a welcoming and inclusive environment. 
• Consistently monitor guest needs and respond promptly to ensure satisfaction and an exceptional bar experience. 
• Maintain continuous presence behind the bar to provide efficient, friendly service. 
• Assist co-workers and collaborate as needed to ensure seamless service. 
• Uphold a positive attitude and contribute to a team-oriented environment 
• Promote and adhere to safe work habits and ensure a safe working environment at all times. 
• Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor, adapting to operational needs. 

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required, with a solid understanding of bar operations. 
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage, with a particular emphasis on spirits, beer selection, and mixology. 
• Ability to multitask effectively and handle high-pressure situations with composure. 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on guest service. 
• Awareness of guest consumption and commitment to responsible alcohol service. 
• Ability to work independently, showing initiative and dedication to quality service.
