MS Access Developer

Job Title: MS Access Developer (IT Applications Developer)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled MS Access Developer (IT Applications Developer) to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, programming, testing, implementing, and documenting modifications to existing systems to enhance processing efficiency or address required changes. Additionally, this position involves investigating and resolving application system problems reported by system users.

Essential Functions:

1. Analyze the needs of internal departments and collaborate with staff and leadership to develop Microsoft (MS) Access databases, including tables, queries, forms, and reports.

2. Develop MS Access/Excel VBA programs to automate tasks and streamline operations.

3. Analyze complex data and create automated reporting solutions.

4. Create and edit macros to effectively handle large data sets.

5. Design and implement applications using the Power Platform and SharePoint, including PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

6. Review code to ensure adherence to best practices and business unit naming conventions.

7. Update, repair, optimize, and maintain existing code using SQL.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Systems Administration, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related database experience, with expertise in MS Access and a working knowledge of MS VBA/SQL.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Strong understanding of designing MS Access database tools and relational databases for medium-sized applications.

2. Proficiency in creating complex queries, forms, and outputs using MS Access.

3. Knowledge of working with large databases and designing security/access protocols.

4. Experience in database task automation using VBA and macros.

5. Familiarity with Microsoft Dataverse.

6. Good technical knowledge of designing and developing enterprise applications using the Microsoft Power Platform.

Job Type: Contract

• 8 hour shift
