The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee and participate in the entire Accounts Payable function for all ForTec Companies; ensuring accuracy and timely payment processing for all vendor payments.
- Drives the full cycle A/P process, including reviewing and entering invoice/expense reports, all payment processing, and all month end and year end AP related reconciliations and responsibilities
- Supervises, leads, and mentors Accounts Payable team members
- Ensures proper coding of invoices, departmental approvals and accurate entry into the Accounting system
- Matches purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices; reviews invoices for reasonableness
- Reconciles vendor statements, and responds efficiently to vendor inquiries to ensure vendor payments are in accordance with terms
- Manages Purchase Card and Travel &Expense processing, approvals, and ensures total compliance with policies
- Reviews and researches missing invoices and takes appropriate action to resolve issues
- Processes intercompany charges, multi company processing and tracking
- Manages the 1099 process, including printing and mailing the 1099s
- Leads and/or participates in system implementation and process improvement projects
- Participates in audits and provides support to external auditors
- Assists in preparing accounts payable related financial reports for management
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and/or equivalent experience preferred
- 3-5 years previous work experience in full cycle accounts payable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment required
- One year experience in a supervisory role with direct reports
- Previous exposure to multi-company AP processes required
- Proficient technical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains and Certify expense software experience preferred. Strong excel knowledge
- Strong analytical skills to assess problems or unusual situations and develop solutions
- Excellent judgment and organizational skills
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to function effectively in meeting daily deadlines
- Strong communication skills
