Summary 
Assists Commercial and/or Personal clients with their insurance needs by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communicates effectively with customers, company representatives, and fellow employees. 
  • Responds to customer requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Reviews and updates customers insurance coverage.
  • Issues Certificates of Insurance and other policy forms. 
  • Coordinates and processes endorsements, audits, and any other policy related functions.
  • Works closely with the Marketing Department during all aspects of the renewal Process.
  • Works closely with Producer(s) on overall account management.

Education and/or Experience:                                                     
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Three to five years insurance industry experience with Property and Casualty Insurance License.

Computer Skills                                                               
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of computer applications such as the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.  Ability to use basic office machines.

Customer Service Skills    
  • Ability and judgment to interact and communicate appropriately with other employees, customers and supervisor.  
  • Ability to serve customers, both internal and external, (community/public) in a manner that will reflect superior customer relations and enhance the overall marketing effort of Origin Bancorp.

Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. 
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
