Job Description

Fortitude Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly motivated self-directed professional with 4-7 years’ experience to fill the role of a Software Engineer. This position will be joining our team based in Chantilly, VA.The ideal candidate is familiar with analyzing and studying complex system requirements. Also, creating detailed software design from system requirements and translating the detailed designs into computer software. This role is unique as it will have the ability to provide technical direction to junior developers to promote growth and team efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Secret level clearance, although other clearances can be held and managed on the program
• Experience with testing debugging and refining computer software to meet stated requirements traced to design
• Experience preparing necessary documentation to meet both programming and user-level requirements
• Experience analyzing and enhancing existing software to improve efficiency or reduce response / operating time
• Experience delivering microservices solutions using Java technologies such as Dropwizard, Micronaut or Spring Boot
• An understanding of incorporating back-end NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or CouchDB.
• Experience with modern JavaScript based frameworks such as VueJS, AngularJS, ReactJS, etc.
• An understanding, and preferably experience with, implementing solutions using web services in a Service Oriented Architecture, i.e., REST, XML enabled Web Services, WSD or SOAP
• Experience with a Linux operating system

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Amazon Web Services
