As an Optical Tech Operator II on our Fabrication team, you will create CNC programs, setup and run CNC equipment, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support to less experienced optical technicians.
2nd Shift: 3:30PM to 2:00AM Monday through Thursday
Primary Responsibilities:
•Work from engineering drawings and process work instructions in accordance with established procedures, lean processes and standard work.
•Set up, operate and maintain CNC diamond turning machines in support of the production schedule.
•Create CNC diamond turning programs
•Collect, analyze, and report data for production processes requiring basic math and statistical knowledge.
•Provide technical support to less experienced optical technicians
•Manually clean optical surfaces using wipes and solvents
•Utilize metrology equipment to verify conformance of optical components to high precision specifications.
•Must be a US Person as defined by 22 CFR 120.15 (Citizen, Permanent Resident).
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Ability to setup and run CNC fabrication jobs on own without support of others
•Ability to perform measurements on high precision components
•Ability to modify CNC programs
•Ability to provide technical support to less experienced operators
•Minimum of 2 years of relevant CNC machining experience on high precision components
Working Conditions and Basic Requirements:
•May require occasional heavy lifting (> 30 lbs) or movement of objects up to 40 lbs.
•Involves exposure to chemicals and solvents.
•Safety Glasses & Latex Gloves are required.
•Must read, speak and understand English written instruction and documentation
•Must be able to work either 1st shift or 2nd shift work schedule:
