Description:
As an Optical Tech Operator 1 on our Fabrication team, you will setup and run CNC equipment to produce high precision optical components
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work from engineering drawings and process work instructions in accordance with established procedures, lean processes and standard work.
- Set up, operate and maintain CNC diamond turning machines in support of the production schedule.
- Collect, analyze, and report data for production processes requiring basic math and statistical knowledge.
- Manually clean optical surfaces using wipes and solvents
- Utilize metrology equipment to verify conformance of optical components to high precision specifications.
Working Conditions and Basic Requirements:
- May require occasional heavy lifting (> 30 lbs) or movement of objects up to 40 lbs.
- Involves exposure to chemicals and solvents.
- Safety Glasses & Latex Gloves are required.
- Must read, speak and understand English written instruction and documentation
- Must be able to work either 1st shift or 2nd shift work schedule:
1st Shift: 5:00AM to 3:30PM Monday through Thursday
2nd Shift: 3:30PM to 2:00AM Monday through Thursday
Qualifications:
- Must be a US Person as defined by 22 CFR 120.15 (Citizen, Permanent Resident).
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possesses basic computer skills for entering data, reviewing process documentation, and operating computer-controlled equipment
- Ability to setup and run CNC manufacturing equipment
- Ability to perform measurements on high precision components
- Minimum of 1 years of relevant machining production experience
