The Product Manager for Fluke Health Solutions (FHS) is a key leadership role within the business. The Product Manager is primarily responsible for leading the development of new products, managing the portfolio of existing products, and setting the long term strategy for the portfolio.
The role requires significant collaboration with customers to understand their needs, iterate on solution design, and prioritize feature/solution development. In addition, the role requires significant collaboration with hardware and software engineers to ensure features being developed will meet or exceed customer expectations.
The Product Manager will focus on commercial growth and enhancements of current solutions, and on informing the product roadmap through continuous engagement with customers and FHS R&D teams. Current solutions include radiation dose monitoring software for use in diagnostic imaging applications and a state-of-the-art service portal for core dosimetry services. The product manager will also need to develop the strategy for transitioning existing customers from legacy software platforms to new software platforms. Catering to software and hardware-enabled workflows is a critical & highly strategic priority within FHS, so strong communication skills, high business acumen, and an analytical & strategic mindset are also required.
Responsibilities
- New Product Introduction and Portfolio Management
- Collaborate with customers to identify, prioritize, & document new requirements on software solutions
- Work with R&D & software developers to ensure software solutions being developed will meet or exceed customer expectations
- Complete Marketing related tasks in the New Product Development process, including Pro Forma analyses, Product Requirements Specification, Beta Test Plans, & New Product Introduction Plans
- Analyze trends with current software portfolio (financial performance, competitive pressures, market/regulatory trends) to identify solutions that needs to be upgraded, repositioned, or removed from the portfolio
- Develop short- and long-term software strategy for the Fluke Health Solutions portfolio through deep understanding of market trends and competitive advantages
- Software and Hardware Commercialization: Customer, Marketing, R&D, and Sales Alignment
- Collaborate with other marketing and executive staff in the development of marketing & sales plans to ensure commercial success of the portfolio
- Provide a feedback loop for sales, marketing, and product teams to exceed market and customer expectations
- Enable other marketing staff to successfully develop and launch marketing campaigns for new products
- Strategy Development
- Identify market trends and competitor moves that may impact the business and deliver plans to capitalize on opportunities and respond to competitor threats
- Lead the strategic plan creation, improvement, and implementation to deliver growth, profitability, and share gain through portfolio commercialization
- Work with corporate strategic development and M&A teams, as needed, to understand the long-term potential of acquisition targets; participate in commercial due diligence when required
- Stakeholder Communication
- Present new product plans and portfolio strategies to the executive leadership team to gain support and alignment
- Ensure frequent communication with key customers to continuously gather VOC
- Participate in channel discussions or strategic partnerships, as necessary
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Commercial Marketing, R&D, and executive leadership to ensure all parties are kept informed of key product decisions & timelines
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum 6 years of progressive leadership experience in a technical environment
- 6+ years of marketing and/or product management experience within a B2B environment
- Experience working within B2B environments with exposure to large-scale projects and cross-functional involvement in a variety of areas
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth through commercialization of products
- Experience working within in an agile development environment
- Qualitative and quantitative market research skillsAbility to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries
- Coordinate across teams and resources and resolve any inability to meet project deadlines
- Comfortable presenting to a wide range of audiences including executives, customers, and partners
- Demonstrated team management experience, with proven ability to influence without direct authority
- Ability to build strong high-level executive and peer relationships
- Strong business acumen and technical knowledge
- Driver of operational excellence and continuous improvement to differentiate and excel in growth
- Demonstrated ability to successfully balance the achievement of short-term objectives (quarterly orders/sales objectives, expense management, etc.) with longer-term strategic and policy deployment goals
- Bias for action with strong results orientation
- Willingness to take a critical view of stretch goals and initiatives to drive breakthrough results
- Demonstrated experience in leading aggressive and results-driven brand management and product planning strategies utilizing Voice of the Customer (VOC) to identify growth opportunities for the company
- Ability to travel 25% of time

- Background in Product Development and Commercialization
- Knowledgeable in the Healthcare industry, specifically radiation safety and compliance
