Job Title: Senior Database Programmer
Responsibilities of the Senior Database Programmer:
Fortuna BMC is seeking to hire a Senior Database Programmer to support the U.S. Army in Quantico, VA.
The Senior Database Programmer will:
- Be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex databases concerning JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
- Maintain database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, and integration of systems through database design.
- Analyze and understand business users’ requirements, clarifying inconsistencies, conflicts, or ambiguities, to effectively develop solutions that meet business needs.
- Work at the highest level of all phases of database management.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree or MCSA SQL Server Certification 2016 with 10 years of SQL Data Management OR a Bachelors Degree or MCSA Server Certification 2008 with at least 12 years of experience in SQL Data Management.
- CompTIA Security Certified
- Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills through all levels of the organization, technical and non-technical, and the ability to lead team meetings.
- Ability to wear many hats, learn quickly, and change direction when needed.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
