Job Description

As the Director, Sourcing Center Of Excellence, you will be responsible for guiding and executing the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the global sourcing function at Fortune Brands Innovations. You will collaborate and partner with key stakeholders, review market trends, prioritize initiatives and guide a team of sourcing professionals to ensure alignment to overall business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and over 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing management. They should excel in guiding sourcing functions, optimizing supplier relationships, and developing value-driven strategies. A proven track record in strategic planning based on review and industry trends is essential. Strong communication and collaboration skills, deep procurement expertise, and the ability to manage change and influence stakeholders are required.

This role is hybrid-based position within driving distance of the following headquarter locations: Cleveland, OH, Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, and Toledo, OH.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and deploy process to drive performance expectations including compliance, risk, quality, delivery and best total cost in support of category strategies.  Direct standards, procedures and accountability policies.
  • Drive the use of new and existing supply market data sources in conjunction with best practices to improve current and long-term operational performance.  Guide the development and execution of a long-term strategy to collect, store and utilize data related to our supply chains.
  • Guide the sourcing Should Cost strategy to analyst and determine ideal cost of materials, products or services based on benchmarks, internal capabilities, and supplier negotiations.
  • Guide the charge to develop the analytic network's capability to provide insights that influence actionable outcomes to the supply chain for global sourcing and development strategies. Driver of change management process for product development costing process.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to understand their requirements and capabilities in order to develop solutions that meet the consumers’ needs by leveraging cost, service, product development, quality and risk management. Ensure data is fact-based so that internal FBIN and external vendors can utilize high value analytics to drive their decisions for performance enhancements.
  • Develop best practices in supply chain cost modeling and linear price progression (LPP) modeling, supplier workshops, Request for Quotes (RFQ’s), Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM / DFA) and operational costs to meet our required specifications and attributes.
  • Ensure that stakeholders, team members, and suppliers are in compliance with all FBIN policies and procedures.
  • Build a high performing team developing skills and capabilities for career growth.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent and 10 years managing a strategic sourcing function.
  • Experience guiding sourcing functions including standardization, consolidation, and optimization of supplier relationships including the creation of new relationships to increase value and driving should cost strategy.
  • Track record of delivering successful strategies, plans, and programs based on review, industry trends, best practices, emerging technologies, and the company’s vision.
  • Strong consultative communications and cross-functional collaboration skills; build relationships easily, both internally and externally.
  • Deep understanding of best-in-class procurement practices including extensive end-to-end experience in Sourcing process, Negotiations, Supplier Review, Industry Review, and RFx expertise.
  • Ability to navigate through organizational boundaries, engage and influence stakeholders, and proactively manage change within the organization.
  • Developer of talent-building effective teams with various perspectives to achieve a common goal.
  • High level of business/financial acumen, strong negotiation skills, and a continuous improvement mentality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems such as SAP.
  • Experience with Agile business methodology.
