Job Description
The Shipping Clerk I is responsible for central distribution center support of clerical functions related to departing truck loads and shipments. Responsibilities include but are not limited to customer service support, general problem solving, tracking shipments and investigating delivery exceptions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pick and process orders, print documents and labels, as required to support shop floor activities.
- Process/ship product from completed picklist reports, merge dual sourced orders and routes as necessary, generate and distribute delivery documents, and file for proper record keeping.
- Manage the timely release of loads to be invoiced to customers and accounts for all shipments.
- Check-in and process documents and freight handled by 3rd party and LTL carriers.
- Utilize the dock manager system to check carriers in and out and communicate with the shopfloor.
- Utilize ProShip rate shipping system to process parcel and LTL shipments, generate pro labels, bill of ladings, and apply to product/pallets for outbound shipment.
- Reconcile, make comments, adjust fulfillment transactions on pre-delivery and post-delivery exceptions as reported by pool carriers, make necessary adjustments, and follow through to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide prompt support and answer questions directed to the CDC by various Larson departments.
- Receive Larson Mfg. purchase orders to record purchases of finished goods and raw materials.
- Monitor, track and assure timely processing of Larson Returns.
- File and track claims for damaged or lost product related to pool and LTL carrier exceptions.
- Coordinate and communicate delivery appointments and Will Call notifications.
- Administer finished good scheduling and PID creation for light assembly of finished goods.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and communicate the adding of late arriving inventory and order fulfillment.
- Assign new customers to routes assuring correct assignment and delivery routing.
- Respond to e-mails, voice mails and phone calls from Larson customer service, dealers, and customers.
- Recommend measures for continuous improvement as it relates to your daily duties.
- Must be courteous and maintain a good working relationship with supervisors and co-workers and should abide by all FBIN policies.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of shipping/receiving systems
Attention to detail
Good basic math skills
