What are the responsibilities and job description for the Saddle Stitcher position at Forum Communications Company?
SUMMARY: Operate various machines in Bindery and Bulk Mailing departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate Folding Machine
- Handling printed materials of various types and quantities
- Set up machine to achieve multiple types of finished product
- Run operations of Folding Machines
- Quality control
- Good housekeeping of work area, recycle waste
- Set up, operate and maintain a continuous feed folder
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Working knowledge of minimum of 2 years related experience or will train Viable candidate
- Additional bindery equipment experience beneficial
- Mechanical skills and computer knowledge preferred
- Must possess great eye/hand coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is insurable by the company.
- Must carry an acceptable level of vehicle insurance as required by the company.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, use hands to fingers, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop.
- Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
- Required to use close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
- Frequent exposure to vibration, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Physical presence at company workplace required.
