YOUR TASKS

FORVIA - HELLA Electronics Corporation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Lighting Development Engineer. The focus of this role will be to lead lighting design activities (mechanical focus, electronics, optical ect.) from an engineering standpoint and to at as the primary engineering contact thru all development phases (Styling, RFQ, Design, production) with our OEM customers. This is a unique opportunity to use and development a broad array of engineering and customer interfacing skills.

Daily Responsibilities

• Working as the primary engineering contact to our OEM customers for lighting related products.
• Represent project team on-site at customer location towards their various domains (Styling, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
• Support the validation process of with FOT parts until the final product.
• Support Engineering changes at customer site, using customer data based. Drive or support customer’s ECM process
• Perform customer specific tasks at customer site, if needed using customer systems for engineering changes, PLM system, etc.
  
  
  

Qualifications

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree in a related engineering discipline or similar.
• 5 years design experience in the automotive industry. Experience in automotive lighting is preferred
• Proven understanding of related mechanical engineering material concepts (plastics, electronics ect.)
• Exhibited ability to lead program development. Experience leading 2 programs from RFQ thru production is a plus.
• Shown past leadership qualities in program development
• Ability to perform well in a cross functional international team.
