This position will support many areas of the firm and you will be involved in assisting our teams in delivering unmatched service to our clients. You will be able to work independently in a team environment and interact with staff at all levels. Flexibility is important in this role as priorities may shift and interruptions may occur which impacts what needs to get done. You will be responsible for tax assembly & processing, report reproduction, word processing, and other administrative duties.
How you will contribute:
- Assemble tax returns according to requirements of the Internal Revenue
- Service (IRS) and state revenue department
- Assist with preparation and distribution of tax organizers
- Greet clients when they come in to drop off documents or pick up completed returns
- E-file return or process paper filing
- Process extensions
- Work with partners and staff to ensure compliance with various deadlines
- Assist with preparation and distribution of engagement letters
- Review client financial statements and other deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with BKD reporting standards – involves proofreading, math checking and comparison to A&A guidance
- Document typing, formatting, proofreading and editing of firm correspondence and client deliverables, including letters, reports, presentations, memos, charts, contracts, labels, envelopes, lists, forms and planning documents, following consistent application of the BKD Stylebook and Brand Standards Guide
- Print and bind audit, review & compilation reports
- Secure and return client source documents
- Perform other projects throughout the year under the direction of the accountants
- Other support duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred
- 3 years or more of administrative experience in a professional services environment preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word
- Ability to work with Adobe software for editing and sending client correspondence
