Position: Location Manager
Job Description:
The Location Manager is a critical leader in the market. The Location Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions at his/her location(s) while increasing efficiency and business within their delivery operations. Relationships with client, recruiting, and gaining 100% of client business in each location are utmost priorities.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
- Focus on profitability & compliance of Independent Contractor Partnerships
- Achieve goals set forth by the client & Forward Final Mile
- Continuously recruit and retain Independent Contractors
- Manage claims and their processes
- P&L Management
- Communicate effectively with the DIA, DIM, and client staff
- Lead Daily stand-ups
- Weekly ride behinds in field with teams to ensure client satisfaction and training
- Showroom visits as needed to build/maintain relationship with client
- Maintain tote inventory and hold BPs accountable
- Enforce and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Responsible for loadout / warehouse oversight of QC with getting teams off dock
- Actively route monitor teams from the road
- Hold Weekly Operations Meetings with the DIA to review aging invoices and any goals or opportunities
- Hold BP meetings as needed to review claims, settlements, compliance, etc.
- Participate in Client and internal conference calls
- Provide operational support to assigned locations when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in management and/or logistics
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong leadership and planning ability
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to prioritize workload and manage time
- Identifies and resolves problems
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Identifies opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources and develops/recommends/implements solutions
- Excellent negotiation skills to deal effectively with individuals and groups within and outside the organization
- Provides timely and professional support to all internal/external customers and vendors
- Effective organization and leadership skills
- Proven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employees
- General computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook, AS400
